About ATV

The EXS 2

The EXS 2 covers the same surface area as the EXS 1, but this model fully utilises mesh head pads on the toms. This compact set requires less space for installation, while providing realistic drum sounds generated by the incorporated xD3 module. This set is an ideal choice for beginners and experienced players needing a second kit at home either for practice or recording.

xD3 Drum Module

ATV's xD3 module enables drummers of all levels to fully express themselves while articulating their dynamics and ideas. The module's high-speed trigger analysis and low-latency sound production ensure unrivalled performance response and feel sensitivity. Meanwhile, the actual samples on offer represent modern and vintage instruments tuned perfectly and in peak condition - recorded in world-class studios using custom, boutique equipment. With a visual metronome tool, recording capabilities and set-up functions for optimising performance, the xD3 is very much the pulse of the EXS 2.

Versatile, compact cymbals

Cymbals for even the tightest spaces. While the EXS 2 cymbals don't benefit from full circumference sensitivity - compared to ATV's higher-end models - the EXS 2 cymbals have a 'sensor zone' design. This makes them perfect for smaller installations, such as classrooms or bedrooms. While the cymbals' sensing area is focused on a zone, it responds expressively when either the edge, bow or bell is struck (bell sensing on ride cymbal only).

Unique sensors and dual-layer drum heads

Technology to encapsulate your idiosyncrasies. A dual-layer mesh head pad is used for the EXS 2 snare and tom pads. When played, this design ensures that your full dynamic range of strokes is translated into expressive sounds, including those powerful rim shots.

Ultra responsive kick drum triggers

The heart of your groove. For rhythmic support, it's essential that the kick drum combines stability with fast, responsive triggering. Unlike various other electronic drum brands, ATV's structural design optimises the pad's balance between damping and sensitivity to provide a rock-solid playing feel and immediate response.
