To ensure your performances are smooth and trouble-free, you need high-quality hardware. The PDP Concept kits are designed in collaboration with the renowned DW Drum Shop. What does that mean? You can expect robust and stable hardware, consistent tuning, and gorgeous tone. STM tom mounts with rubber grommets suspend toms by the lugs so vibrations from the shell aren't picked up. As a result, you only hear the resonance from the drum - no vibrations or rattling.
All drums feature graduated counter hoops. This means each hoop of the drum is weighted for each shell size, enhancing the balance of attack and sustain between each drum. To ensure they are tuned accurately, each drum features True-Pitch tension rods, which are fine threaded for secure and accurate tuning.
Powerful Sound for Your Grooves
Robust and durable hardware is great, but what about the sound? The all-maple shells feature enhanced low-end frequencies that really fill out the groove. The floor tom has a meaty, sonic boom that complements the pop of the snare. Speaking of the snare, it's incredibly responsive, even to the slightest touch. That's partly because of the DW MAG throw-off, which locks into place via magnets for a super smooth and secure hold. It's not just for big grooves, with the right drummer it sounds beautifully articulate at any level.
