Unleash the darkness with the Sabian HHX Series

Sabian opened a new world of sound possibilities with the HHX series. From dark, musically rich tones to cutting, bright sounds, the HHX makes it easy to achieve your perfect sound, no matter what style of music you play. A combination of hand-guided machine hammering and hand-hammering is used to shape and for each cymbal, adding musicality, complexity and bright tone. Each individual cymbal is hand-tested and hand-weighed in the Vault by sound specialists, which is a vital process for shaping the sound and weight for the cymbals. The HHX cymbals are placed on a shelf to age after the construction process, which allows the active molecules to slow down and stabilize, maximising sound quality and playability.

All HHX series cymbals are complete with HHX 'Tone Projection'. This innovative concept combines jumbo 'tone projector' hammering and other design elements resulting in hot, simmering sounds that can project through.

HHX Evolution 14'' Hi-Hat

Included in the Sabian HHX Evolution cymbal set are a pair of highly-responsive hi-hats that have the ability to cut through in virtually any musical setting. Tone-wise, the 14'' Evolution hats produce a bright, shimmering sound. They deliver powerful projection even during the busiest sticking, all with crispness and clarity. This is all thanks to the different weighted top and bottom cymbals. The top is medium weighted, while the bottom is heavy to give you to tight, clean and articulate sticking when closed, and a great wash with fullness when opened.

HHX Evolution 16'' Crash

The Evolution Crash produces a warm, explosive response with a shimmering crash sound. Its thin weight means it is very quick to react and doesn't need much power to produce a full crash sound. The Evolution Crash is highly responsive and delivers a combination of bite and penetration with dark undertones, making it ideal for a range of styles.

HHX Evolution 20'' Ride

The Evolution Ride offers rich, shimmering tones with a crisp attack, clear stick definition and warm undertones. The super-sized hammering and HHX exclusive 'Tone Projection' design adds bite and allows the ride to cut through and project when playing at any volume level. HHX O-Zone Evolution Crash

The Sabian HHX Evolution O-Zone Crash is a cymbal like no other, bringing new possibilities with a very aggressive combination of a Thin Crash and Chinese cymbals. This pairing results in an extremely raw, nasty and very biting response. The attack of the O-Zone has an immediate high followed by low, dark and dirty sustain. Its holes add bite and give the cymbal a very trashy tone.
