The 4ms Quad Clock Distributor is ideal for use as a Master clock module. The four channels are comprised of Clock I/O, Reset and Div/Multi CV and Reset connections. One of the most prominent and convenient features of the Quad Clock Distributor module is the ability to manually tap the tempo you require in. The clock output also matches the tapped tempo, even when other channels are clocked externally for optimal flexibility. Five synced clock outputs make the module ideal as a head-of-the-chain master clock module.
The QCD Eurorack Module features a versatile range of connectivity, ideal for a number of applications. As well as including Clock I/O on each channel, you can also create intricate rhythmic sequences when patching multiple channels into one another via the channels Div/Multi CV and Reset connections. You can also Divide or Multiply incoming clock connections from /32 to x16 on each channel. Each channel of the module features a detented knob to snap to divisions and multiples, as well as a CV jack for modulating the Div/Mult amount. The built-in LED lights react in time to the output clocks’ tempos for added convenience. The clock output itself delivers fully buffered, 5V pulses. The default setting is a square-wave but it can also be controlled with an expander.
As well as being great as a master clock this module can also be expanded and doubled up by daisy changing multiple module to other clock module using the Tap Out jack. There is also a header connection on the PCV for connecting to the QPLFO, providing four CV skewable and CV DIv/Mult-able envelopes. You can also interface with the QCD expander to gain access to more features such as Inverted Gate, Atennuverter for CV inputs and more. With its versatile yet compact design, the QCD modules is ideal as a master clock or a rhythmic pattern generator.
