Designed to be a perfect stereo matching pair, the Avantone Mixcubes replicate the sound characteristics of bass-challenged devices such as car stereos, clock radios, and computer speakers. Now you can mix with confidence, knowing that your tracks will sound great no matter where they are played.

Based on the legendary 5C Sound Cubes

The Mixcube Actives are a significant upgrade from the original 5C Sound Cubes, featuring a newly engineered cabinet and a more smooth, open, and transparent driver. The over-engineered power amplifier ensures pristine sound reproduction, while the extended bass response adds depth without compromising the original character of the mix.

To achieve exceptional performance, Avantone has designed a proprietary 5.25" die-cast, polished aluminium frame driver/cone assembly. The custom-designed paper cone is crafted from the finest New Zealand pulp with mica fibres added for lighter weight and increased rigidity. The cloth surround, manufactured in Japan, ensures precise and uniform thickness. With Sumitomo 1008 low-carbon steel for the top plate and T-Yoke, and Y-40 GRADE magnets, the Mixcubes deliver high-power and low-distortion performance.

Powerful power amp and high-end components

The amp module in the Avantone Mixcube Actives is built to professional-grade standards. We have implemented "overkill" concepts in component selection to ensure robust headroom and safety, rivalling the performance of more expensive studio rack mount amps

The dense MDF board construction of the monitors contributes to their low-resonance characteristics, ensuring accurate sound reproduction. The high-end, nickel-plated input posts, dual-banana spaced on an aluminium terminal plate, provide reliable and secure connections. Plus, with a 7mm thick neoprene pad on the bottom of the cabinet, these monitors offer skid-resistant acoustic isolation.
