The various control dials make The Depths what it is, offering incredibly lush, pulsating, three-dimensional swirling sounds with a modern twist. Its voice and throb controls decide the pedal's tone to deliver a huge range of possibilities, with intensity and rate setting the oscillation to go from a smooth, ultra-slow warble all the way through to speedy, sharp bursts. For even more versatility, The Depths Pedal can be powered by 9V for a warm and mellow tone, or 18V for a stiff tonal quality with more headroom and sparkle. It works with effectively any instrument that can be plugged in. A bright LED indicator means you always stay in control even on the darkest of stages.
Controls
- Voice: Dials in the overall sound. Clockwise for a fuller sound with bigger lows, turn down for a thinner, boosted midrange tone.
- Throb: Controls the low end pulse. May not be immediately evident if using the bridge pickup, switch to the neck or provide some dirt and it will come alive. All the way up for more throb, dialed back for less. Works best when 'Voice' is set to a warmer tone.
- Intensity: Sets how subtle or intense the entire effect is. Anti-clockwise from noon are the more subtle, traditional sounds. Clockwise from are the more dramatic and intense sounds.
- Rate: Controls the speed of the effect. Anti-clockwise for slow, clockwise for faster.
- Level: Controls the volume output of the effect. Unity is around 1 O’clock, everything above is boost.
V2 Flex Switch
The Depths V2 features a Flex switch which allows for either traditional latching or momentary operation. This is ideal for stuttering effects or for creating brief moments of optical vibe.
