The Revolution of HD Modelling
With superior articulation, tangible touch response and greater levels of warmth and realism the new HD amp models will inspire your play like never before. Behind each tone there's a real amp that has been hunted down, restored, modelled and refined to create the richest and most realistic sounds for the POD HD.
Some of the amps modelled during this process included:
Cabinet Deep Edits
Each cabinet model can be altered using the following parameters:
Presets and Tuner
The POD HD500 comes with the complete collection of 512 factory presets. Scroll through them, find what you like, tweak if needed and save up to 128 of your own user presets. The POD HD 500 also comes with an easy to use tuner feature with Auto Mute for on stage tuning.
Effects
The POD HD effects pedal is a looping, pitch shifting harmonizing machine! With over 100 effects you'll always be able to find the tone you're looking for. The in built expression pedal controls wah, volume and pitch effects but if you need more you can hook up an external pedal like a Line 6 EX-1.
M-Class FX include popular delays, reverbs, mods, pitch effects and more. The POD HD 500 boasts over 100 different FX which are easy to dial in, save and sync up with the tap tempo. For a full list of the effects on all the POD HD pedals take a look at the PDF below.
Also layer up to 8 simultaneous FX with flexible routing or create loops with the built in looper. The POD HD 500 has a loop time of 48 seconds with easy access dedicated controls.
Simple to Use
The POD HD 500 has a bright display screen that shows handy little gear icons in their signal path so you can easily select what you want and move it around. Access almost everything without ever even leaving the homepage. The POD HD amp and effect models can be routed with the flexibility of a pedal board, but better! Save over 100 user presets and access each rig with the efficiency of a MIDI controller.
If you want to create a unique tone by playing through two rings at once the POD HD 500 can handle it. Route your guitar signal through two different chains of models at once or use the ¼" aux input or XLR mic input to process two signals at once. Connect to your computer via USB for instant multi-channel recording or tap into the POD HD Edit free software.
Integrate with a Line 6 DT50 Amp
If you like you can integrate your POD HD500 with a DT50 amp via L6 LINK. This means you can select a POD HD preset and automatically optimise DT50 analog components whilst taking full advantage of the POD HD amp models and M-class effects. Changing settings on one of these items will also automatically update the other so they work together in perfect harmony. You can edit POD HD tones by simply turning knobs on the DT50. Finally, you are able to easily create stereo or wet/dry settings and daisy chain amps with standard XLR cables whilst POD HD does the rest.
