Equipped with a Fishman F1 Analog system, the Martin GPCPA4 becomes perfect for live, studio and rehearsal purposes. The Fishman F1 Analog offers a convenient tuning system, by pressing and holding the volume button until the tuner turns on and pressing the volume to turn off. Additionally, the innovative tone knob also lets the player chose between a natural, and an undersaddle sound. Furthermore, the player is also able to adjust their amplified tone by turning the tone knob clockwise to blend in a mid-scooped tone with emphasised bass and treble with a reduced mid-range. Furthermore, the player can turn the tone knob counter-clockwise for more depth and clarity to the amplified sound, perfect for the player with a heavier strumming pattern. With this high-quality system from Fishman, the Martin GPCPA4 is perfect for the full-time session musician as well as the gigging guitarist, singer/songwriters and the recording musician.
The GPCPA4 features Martin's grand performance cutaway body, which offers a guitar built for more professional performance. With its beautifully articulate tone, superb projection and volume, as well as versatility, players can achieve numerous genres, playing styles, and techniques with ease. Its relatively narrow waist gives the GPCPA4 plenty of balance between the high frequencies and the low frequencies. Additionally, the grand performance body provides a comfortable playing experience whether the player is seated or standing throughout the performance. Furthermore, the GPCPA4 features a Venetian cutaway profile, which is renowned for its soft, sleek, and curvaceous lines, enabling easy access to upper frets and more challenging chords.
With a select hardwood neck and a high performance neck taper, players are certain to adore the Martin's smooth and easy playability. Additionally, the neck also has a performing artist neck shape, providing a smooth, quick, and slick playability, ensuring comfort and enhanced playability throughout. Its select hardwood neck is topped with a certified richlite fingerboard, which simulates the sonic-pleasures of ebony, adding sustain and plenty of bite to the overall sound.
Bracing is very important when it comes to the guitar's durability, it reinforces the top, back and sides, which provides a strong, durable top. Scalloped bracing stops the guitar from collapsing under string tension and shapes the guitar's sound, enabling the top to vibrate more freely yet still remains incredibly stable. Scalloped bracing provides more emphasis to the bass response of the guitar and has been rewarded for enhancing the guitar top production.
For 183 years, Martin have been at the forefront of guitar innovation and premium craftsmanship, bringing consumers some of the best acoustic guitars possible. The iconic Martin tone has become an important characteristic that sets Martin guitars aside from others within the acoustic world. Martin's manufacturing processes have been perfected by their Plek machines, the Pleking process helps Martin guitars maintain their undeniable tone.
The Plek Pro has been developed for use in guitar production factories as a tool that not only does precise fingerboard dressing, but also helps with quality control. The computer controlled device scans and dresses the guitar under actual playing conditions, strung and tuned to pitch for using precise string tension emulation. This machine has been a major break through over the last decade, as its eye for detail identifies exactly what needs to be done for perfect fretwork. The Plek Pro delivers perfect results and raises the quality of the instrument for an undeniable Martin sound
Please note: Martin do not ship their guitars with the strap button installed on the bottom of the guitar. They do this to avoid any impact cracks that may occur during shipping. You can find your strap button inside the case compartment.
