The Godin Progression Plus in Cherry Burst Flame is a vintage-looking guitar with a modern playing feel and versatility. It features a classic aesthetic reminiscent of many classic double-cutaway bolt-on guitars yet provides a playing specification that makes it both easy to play and capable of a very wide range of sounds. This is the ultimate guitar for session players, or for those who need just one guitar on their gig that can play in all genres.
The Progression Plus features a basswood body that is tonally versatile, incredibly resonant, and lightweight for a comfortable performance. The neck is made of maple which assists with warmth and resonance, while the maple fingerboard further adds to the warm overtones and snappy response.
The body is topped with flamed maple which gives a classy aesthetic, mirrored on the back of the guitar. This instrument will both look and sound great on stage.
The Progression Plus has a HSS pickup arrangement. This is widely regarded as the most versatile pickup combination and can cover both humbucker and single coil tones, from powerful rock rhythm sounds through to funky chordal cleans, jazzy mellow warmth, and biting solo sounds.
The bridge pickup is the Seymour Duncan JB Jr. which is a humbucker pickup in a single-coil sized housing. This powerful pickup is complemented by the 2 Godin GS2 single coils and lets you adapt the guitar's sound to almost any genre.
The guitar also features Godin's High-Definition Revoicer (HDR) circuit which provides an alternative tone at the push of a button. It boosts all pickups and provides the sound of an active setup; ideal for solo boosts and powerful rock tones.
The Godin Progression Plus offers an easy playability. The sculpted 4-bolt neck joint and double cutaway body provides easy access to all 22 frets. The fingerboard features a modern 12'' radius which provides the ideal balance between chordal comfort and soloing capabilities, where it allows you to setup a low sting action.
A full assortment of professional hardware makes the Progression Plus the ideal instrument for reliable performance night after night. High ratio Godin machine heads allow for quick and accurate tuning while the Tru-Loc tremolo gives a vintage aesthetic with a modern reliability.
This tremolo allows a player to regulate the tremolo arm placement via a simple allen key adjustment, which locks the arm into a personal Custom Comfort Zone.
