The Ibanez’s body is crafted from incredibly lightweight ash wood, offering excellent comfort with the ability to play all night long without shoulder strain. The ash tonewood provides a sweet, airy twang, with plenty of resonance for singing chords and powerful punching notes. Its firm lows, pleasing highs, and slightly scooped midrange suits a range of playing styles, but favours the harsh strikes of metal players. The body is topped with a beautiful curly maple, with its flamed figuring enhanced by the twilight black gradation finish to create a truly unique guitar.
The Premium Guitar’s 11-piece neck is created from wenge/bubinga/maple/purpleheart, creating a visually stunning aesthetic while enhancing its sturdiness for an iron-like construction. The combination of these tonewoods provide the guitar with a beautifully warm, sweet tonal characteristic, while the addition of a curly maple fingerboard enhances the guitar's natural brightness and adds to its stunning aesthetic. The wizard-7 profile is designed for the 7-string guitar, delivering an incredible slim and smooth performance to accommodate quick position changes.
The DiMarzio pickups offer an incredible range of tonal properties, creating a beautifully clean and open sound on low notes and lusciously warm, rounded tones on high notes. Specifically designed for 7-string guitars, the PAF-7 humbuckers deliver clean-sounds and a low output, much like the classic humbuckers of the late 50’s. Ceramic magnets provide the pickups with their classic tone, while virtual vintage technology ensures they produce the warm high notes.
The Ibanez Edge Zero is a high performance double locking tremolo first introduced in 2010, featuring similarities with both the Lo-Pro Edge tremolo and the original Floyd Rose Tremolo. This design created a unique and extremely versatile floating tremolo system which provides an added range of playing capabilities and improved tuning stability. For the Edge Zero II model, Ibanez designed it with a lower profile to improve comfort, and added a stud locking function for superior tuning stability.
The RG7PCMLTD is equipped with a set of Gotoh MG-T locking tuners and a barless nut, ensuring the guitar stays in tune through the harshest performances. Its Gotoh tuners are designed with incredible tuning stability, and offers quick and easy tuning. The barless nut removes the need for a retainer bar to maintain string tension, allowing it to hold the strings at the correct angle whilst remaining smooth and ergonomic.
Over the past 30 years, Ibanez Guitars have always been at the forefront of developing the right tools for electric guitar players pushing the boundaries of music. For decades, Ibanez designers and luthiers have been the embodiment of this ideology, pushing their skills to the edge of imagination, consistently creating some of the most versatile and unique instruments ever. Although Ibanez guitars have been made since 1908, it wasn't until the late 1980s that they began to form an identity for themselves when artists such as Steve Vai and Frank Zappa began using their instruments. Now with a huge artist clientele across the globe, Ibanez are a leading manufacturer of electric guitars and basses and a first choice for many dedicated musicians.
