Constructed from Alder for its body, the Talman produces a full-bodied tone that is strong enough to carry with it plenty of sustain. Delivering beefy mids, excellent lows and sizzling highs that aren't too harsh, the TM1730M is an excellent sounding guitar that brings with it the classic tones of early 90's Ibanez guitars with the innovations of modern models. Also situated on the body is the ITL-PRO tremolo bridge that offers accurate intonations and with the aded benefit of being able to use a tremolo bar to adjust the pitch of the strtings when needed..
The Talman features a Maple neck and fingerboard to provide brightness to the guitars tone and cleans up some of it roughness, whilst adding sizzle to the highs and some firmness to the lows. With a Talman Classic-Plus "C" shape to help accommodate for sliding players and allows for a quicker playing style, the guitar also has a bone nut for some added sustain and a fast access neck joint to provide the ability to reach the higher frets with ease.
The Ibanez features a set of Seymour Duncan Alnico Five-Two pickups, with one situated at the bridge, one at the neck and the other one in the middle, to produce a bright tone that's well balanced with a springy bottom end and smooth, rich top end. Even when subjugated to a distorted amp, the pickups are versatile enough to produce enough responsiveness to adjust the tone to something clean and with a softer attack. Along with the pickups comes controls to adjust the volume and tone and a 5-way selector switch to allows for the pickups to be used together or individually, making the TM1730M excellent for country, blues, classic rock or hard rock.
