The Schecter Sixx Bass has a body constructed from high quality Mahogany to produce powerful tones. The Mahogany body offers naturally rich, warm tones, with a balance of grind and bite to create tights lows and appealing highs. The wood offers the guitar excellent amounts of depth and helps provide an incredible sustain. With black chrome hardware and a Schecter custom bridge, the bass guitar is given a satin black finish to create a sleek and stylish look.
A Maple/Walnut multi-ply neck is used for the bass, offering the warmth of a Walnut neck with the brightness of a Maple. The two woods work together to create full tones with bright characteristics, whilst producing snappy mids and a firm low end. A Rosewood fingerboard is added to provide extra warmth and sweetness to the tone, adding sparkle to the highs and thickening up the lows. The bass also features Grover machine heads, crème dot inlays, and a neck-thru construction.
With the EMG PJX set offering incredible flexibility and a wide range of tonal combinations, the Schecter bass offers plenty of headroom, and an excellent dynamic response. The PX pickup can be used to create a warm tone that has a low end punch, whilst the LJX has a tight mid-range and dynamic high end response to produce a defined attack. Whether you solo the pickups or use them in combination, the PJX set offer a low noise output that can create tones from tight slap funk to smooth motown grooves.
