Equipped with a solid sitka spruce top, the Parlor Rosewood provides longevity and uniform grain. The choice of using sitka spruce offers an idyllic soundboard and produces versatility, crisp articulation and a broad dynamic range that will accommodate many different genres and playing techniques. Combined with rosewood back and sides, the Parlor Rosewood guitar also produces clear articulation, with deep lows and throaty growl. Both tonewoods add their own distinctive character to the overall tone of the Gibson Parlor, and offers a high-level of professional performance through its superb construction and design.

Mahogany Neck & Richlite Fingerboard

Constructed from mahogany, the Gibson Parlor's neck provides players with plenty of resonance and durability. The smooth playing neck features an advanced response profile which has a flatter fingerboard radius which allows for easy string bending in any position on the neck. The advanced response neck is designed to unleash a player's full potential. Its mahogany neck is topped with a richlite fingerboard that offers the feel, playability, and appearance of ebony. Players can expect great sustain, bright attack, and supreme durability from this special richlite fingerboard. Richlite is scratch, heat, and stain-resistant, as well as being non-toxic and non-warping. This environmentally friendly fingerboard is sprinkled with mother of pearl single dot inlays for added elegance and a high-end finish.

L.R. Baggs VTC Pickup

The Gibson Parlor Rosewood comes equipped with the popular VTC pickup from L.R. Baggs, which features a low-profile undersaddle pickup that's proven more stable and durable than many standard ribbon-type pickups. Combined with an unobtrusive and removable volume/tone control mounted just within the soundhole, the VTC and the Parlor Rosewood together provide the idyllic setup for the professional musicians. The VTC features rotary controls for both volume and tone shaping, and is designed to project the rich sonic character that you'd expect from a mic'd up performance in a studio environment. Superb Projection From Small-Bodied Guitar

The Parlor Rosewood features a unique body that falls between a jumbo shaped guitar and a parlour sized guitar, offering players a diminutive instrument that projects a voice which contradicts its size completely. The body shape is based on the curvaceous jumbo guitar and its construction offers plenty of depth for a stunning delivery but won't lack in tonal power. To provide a comfortable playing experience the Parlor Rosewood features similar dimensions and proportions to a parlour guitar and has a Venetian cutaway for smooth access to upper frets.

Venetian Cutaway

The Venetian Cutaway is renowned for its soft, round lines, creating a visually stunning look that is recognisable on any body. This type of cutaway allows easier access to the upper frets for a comfortable play, and enables you with more freedom throughout the fingerboard.

Traditional Hand Scalloped X-Bracing

As with many of Gibson's acoustic range, the Parlor Rosewood features traditional hand scalloped X-bracing.
