Flamed Maple Topped Basswood Body

The RG721FM features a strong and sturdy American basswood body topped with stunning flamed maple, creating an exotic appearance which will stand out from any crowd. Players will love the elegant contours and the comfortable performance, suitable for a range of playing styles. In addition, a double cutaway design offers easier access to the higher frets and flexibility across the whole fingerboard.

The 5-Piece Maple/Walnut Neck

The Ibanez’s neck is crafted from maple and walnut, creating an incredibly bright, smooth tone with and excellent sustain and stability. Although maple and walnut are a naturally smooth wood, the RG721FM feature’s Ibanez’s wizard profile which is optimised for lead guitarists, offering a thin feel to deliver swift and nimble runs with ease.

Bound Rosewood Fingerboard

The Ibanez Premium Guitar features a rosewood fingerboard which offers a smooth, natural finish for a comfortable playing experience, along with a very responsive, bright, snappy attack and smooth sustain. It’s bound edges allow for a smooth play and fluid hand flexibility across the whole neck.

Powerful CAP-VM Humbuckers

Unlike other guitars from Ibanez that feature DiMarzio electronics, many models in the Premium lineup are equipped with CAP-VM pickups. This choice of pickups are designed using oxygen-free copper wire, that is specifically designed to offer a high output. Achieving the perfect sound is easy with the 5-position blade, and control options for Volume and Tone.

Tight-End R Bridge

The Tight-End R bridge was designed specifically for the RG flat top and delivers playability and rock-solid stability. Each saddle is securely locked onto the base plate, and maximises the string vibrations transmitted to the body for the ultimate sound.
