More and more modern guitars and basses have implement some sort of fan fret or multi-scale design, but why? Instruments such as the piano uses longer string for the lower notes, a multi-scale instrument takes the same approach. By angling the bridge, nut and frets you can achieve balanced tension across all the strings, improving the tone and delivering a more accurate intonation. Ormsby have used this approach on the Bass GTR to give an ergonomic experience that delivers a tighter bass end which is incredibly useful for extended range guitars and basses or when playing in low tunings.

The built-in Darkglass Tone Capsule pre-amp gives you full control over your sound. This top-class pre-amp has bass, low-mid and high-mid controls rather than a traditional 3-band EQ. This gives a more natural tone that is less harsh than other active pre-amp systems.
