Every detail of the Risa TE is the same as the electric guitar is based after, but its small ukulele size makes it a perfect companion for travelling musician constantly on the road. Its body is crafted from sugar pine, a classic tonewood which was used before ash and alder, delivering a beautifully bright tone with excellent resonance and plenty of presence in the mids. The maple neck and fingerboard offers a smooth playing feel, and enhances the ukuleles natural brightness for sparkling highs and thick lows. The hardware is also designed to mimic an electric guitar, from its aluminium control knobs and geared tuners, down to the fixed bridge. Its classic butterscotch blonde finish is accompanied by a classic black pickguard, creating a stunning and unique looking ukulele
To complete its electric guitar style, the TE ukulele features a set of handmade Risa pickups to deliver incredibly powerful tones. A single-coil sits in the neck position, offering beautifully smooth tones for chunky chords, while a humbucker sits at the bridge for creating searing leads with strong highs. The pickups are controlled by master tone and volume controls, while the 3-way switch allows players to switch between the humbucker and single-coil, or blend them together.
