The Cwejman SPH-2 Spatial Phaser is ideal for a range of applications, from adding movement to your sounds to modulating the way external tones sound. The SPH-2 is a 14-stage stereo phaser comprised of dual identical voltage controlled all-pass filters. The filters feature seven notches spanning the entire audio spectrum, ensuring constant and optimal phasing. The all-pass filters are double up with original audio signal. This results in a near-constant gain and phase shift of 2400 degrees across the entire range. There is even an integrated bypass switch for turning off the effect instantly; ideal for checking the results of your modulation. It features 6 attenuators in total including: Spectrum, Rate, Depth, Sum Audio, Feedback & Rate CV. It also boasts a wide range of patch points and connections for external use.
One of the most unique features the Spatial Phaser offers is the ability to toggle between Spatial and Rotating phasing modes. The two modes provide two ways for the phasing to work for added flexibility. The Rotating mode works like a standard phasing unit, rotating between three multiplied signals to provide underlying movement within your sound. The Spatial mode acts as the opposite, sweeping the spectral position for another type of movement that only can be described when heard. The precision attenuators allow you to control the Rate, Depth, Audio, Feedback and Rate CV parameters on the module. The main Comb Tune attenuator allows you to dial in the type of waveform used to determine the phase. The main phase shift is modulated by the internal LFO, with a range of 20ms to 40ms per cycle.
The versatile phaser comes complete with a wide range of analog audio and CV connectivity. This allows the module to communicate with external modules as well as a range of other analog equipment. For the audio, the module features: Input, Left Output, Mix Output & Right Output. The CV connections are comprised of: Rate CV Input, Spectrum CV Inputs for Left, L+R and Right. This gives you more than enough patch points to communicate with a range of external equipment, from other modules to instruments. It even features a Bypass switch for instantly checking your phasing, switching between bypass and L&R In modes.
