Building on the design and success of the original Surge Kit, Alesis have included all-mesh drum heads for exceptional authenticity, providing a natural and fluid feel while you are playing the kit. The 8-piece kit is comprised of a range of premium-grade drum pads including two 8-inch, dual-zone rack toms and an 8-inch dual-zone floor tom, providing plenty of creative options for the rim area of each drum. They are accompanied by the 8-inch mesh kick and 10-inch dual-zone snare pad. The dual-zone design allows you to trigger two different sounds depending on where you hit the pad for added flexibility.

Surge Drum Module

At the heart of the Surge electronic kit is the Surge Drum Module. This module boasts 40 kits in total, including 385 sounds and 60 play-alone tracks. The module also features a built-in metronome for adhering to strict tempos and rehearsing. The built-in kits span a wide range of genres, supplying you with a wide range of versatile sounds. The module boasts integrated effects which include a Reverb and 3-band EQ, allowing you to customise your sound and sculpt your tones. The radiant LCD display provides you with all the information you need on your kits, sounds, tempo and more. The easy-to-use interface allows you to quickly navigate between onboard effects, sounds and more.

Versatile Connectivity

One of the most unique features of the Alesis Surge Mesh Kit is the ability to record live performances and play MP3 files through the kit itself. The AUX input allows you to connect smartphones, MP3 players and more, allowing you to play over your favourite songs without the need for external devices. There is also a USB output which can be used to control your virtual instrument collection by transmitting MIDI information to a computer. It also features MIDI In/Out ports so you can use the kit with a range of other equipment such as synthesizers and more.
