A complete electronic drum kit that mirrors the standard acoustic configuration. The DD400X includes three toms, a snare drum, kick drum, hi-hats and crash & ride cymbals. Everything you need to get to grips with the art of drumming.

The built-in control unit allows you to access training programs and different drum sounds via its clear LCD screen. Think of it as your own home drum tutor, making learning fun and accessible. It also has a metronome function for you to perfect your timing. And when it comes to getting creative with the unit's onboard sound library, you'll have no trouble navigating your way through its simple, clear menus to access the sounds you want.

Making drumming accessible for all

Forget everything you've heard about the drums. The DD400X's compact design makes it easier to set up and takes up less space than any conventional acoustic drum kit. It's perfect for use at home - either in a bedroom, garage or elsewhere - or a rehearsal studio. When you're not using it, just fold the kit back up and store it away. To set it back up, just unfold it, turn it on and play straight away - it'll boot up instantly. You don't have to worry about overusing it, either. With a strong aluminium frame, the DD400X can withstand heavy playing over long periods of time. But aluminium is also a lightweight metal, so it's still easy to carry around. This compact drum kit makes drumming accessible for all.

Play in near silence - an end to noise complaints!

The neighbours will never complain again. Electronic kits with rubber drum pads are much quieter than standard acoustic drums. But the DD400X is even quieter, thanks to the mesh heads on the tom and snare pads. With or without headphones, drum kits don't come much quieter than this. For a more isolated playing experience, simply plug some headphones into the kit's headphone jack and only you will hear your performance. If you want to amplify the DD400X either for a live performance or full-volume rehearsal, use the Stereo output and plug the kit into an amp!

An authentic drumming experience. Not only are the drum pads' mesh heads much quieter than other rubber versions, they also respond much more like a regular acoustic drum skin. With every strike, your sticks will bounce back with purpose. Allowing you to articulate each beat and fill, and getting you closer to the feel of the instrument.

Define your sound

What kind of drummer would you like to be? The DD400X's control unit comes pre-loaded with 108 unique drum sounds and ten pre-programmed drum kits. Plenty of options to explore as you learn and move up the drumming ranks. You can even create your own custom kits with distinct styles and genres. The DD400X also comes with 40 different drum patterns that are perfect for playing along to as you get used to the role of the drums in music.

Want to play along with your favourite songs? You can do that, too! Simply connect your smartphone or MP3 player via the aux-in port. When you're feeling ready to hit the all-important red button and record yourself, the DD400X has both USB and MIDI connections. Plug the kit into your computer and record your playing through a DAW. Whether it's casual practice, focused learning, or professional recording, the DD400X has everything you need to become the best drummer you can be.
