The Evans EC2 Clear Rock Tom Pack 10, 12, 16'' Heads are optimised for attack, tone, controlled sustain and ease of tuning. Made from two plies of 7mil film, the clear head provides an articulate attack and smack you'd expect from clear heads. The EC2 heads feature Sound Shaping Technology (SST) - the rings, mounted on the underside round the edges, add sustain control, proportional to each size of the drum for a well-balanced tone that acts as a pre-EQ.
Easy tuning, holding tune and an extended pitch range are all part of the Evans Level 360 Technology, allowing for a 360-degree playing surface that resonates with the shell thanks to the vertically enhanced collar design. Ideal for drummers looking for a controlled, attack-prominent tone.
The Evans Hydraulic Black Snare Batter Drum Head, 14'' is ideal for recreating that classic 70's tone. The fat, short and deep snare tone from the Hydraulic head works without any extras. A thin layer of oil between the two 7mil films supress overtones and control the sustain in a musical way. Famously robust in their holding of tuning, this head is ideal for drums that struggle to stay in tune or those with little experience in tuning. It also looks as impressive as it sound - the finish compliments any kit!
Translucent films add focus to the tone, complimenting the warmth so that it still cuts through a mix. A roughened surface on the film adds more textural options, adding to the warmth and able to be played with brushes.
