PDP Concept Series Snare
With a 10-ply, all-maple shell, and sound-enhancing hardware, the PDP Concept Maple snare is a superb workhorse snare drum. Delivering a versatile tone, the Concept Series snare drum is an ideal choice for all playing styles and performance settings. Feel the power and attack of the 10-ply shell. It’s perfect for the snare and offers a rich depth of tone that is perfect to work with in the studio.
Maple is renowned for its impressive durability, and its even high and mid-frequencies. This snare drum embellishes this by delivering a full, warm low-end response.
Mag throw-off for quick timbre changes
The Concept Series snare comes with the all-new MAG™ throw-off in a chrome finish. A simple design, the MAG™ is a workhorse drop throw-off with easy to adjust horizontal tension. Its name comes from a magnet that's built into the body of the throw-off. When the handle is lifted into the upright position it cannot be released. When it finally releases it will throw the strainer completely off the head to avoid any strainer buzz.
Graduated counter hoops and STM system maximise resonance
The toms featured on the PDP Concept Maple 5pc Shell Pack are fitted with chrome counter hoops. This means that the smaller drums on the kit feature thinner hoops, allowing them to resonate further and more freely to produce richer tones.
The STM (Suspension Tom Mount) system mounts the tops independently, rather than being attached to the bass drum. This allows the toms to resonate without any muting or unwanted sounds from hardware to shell contact. The STM system is perfect for studio drum kits and close miking, ensuring the clearest performance possible.
TruePitch tension rods offer accurate tuning
TruePitch provides drummers with even more control over their sound. These rods feature 5mm threads, instead of the standard 12mm or 24mm threads that are on most other drum kits. This allows the PDP Concept Maple 5pc Shell Pack to be tuned far more accurately, allowing you to ascertain the perfect tone from your kit.
PDP 5pc Hardware Set
The PDP Concept Maple 5pc Shell Pack includes a full range of hardware. This includes two cymbal stands, a hi-hat stand, a snare drum stand, and a kick drum pedal. All of the hardware included is double-braced to ensure maximum durability and stability at all times. Simply add cymbals and you’re ready to go!
