All the pros, none of the cons. The Boss Nextone Special 80w Guitar Amplifier delivers stunningly velvety, vintage tube tones, just with a few modern upgrades that even boutique amps can't deliver. This is achieved with the latest generation of Boss's innovative Tube Logic technology, which reproduces the complex interactive behaviours of classic tube designs, meaning you still get punchy attack, natural compression, and vintage, saturated warmth. This is complemented by the Waza B12W speaker, which combines the tone of the iconic “blue bell” speakers from the '60s with modern power handling capacity. Built-in reverb and delay complete the show, letting you add an extra dimension to your riffs. The Nextone Special delivers all the character of a vintage tube amp without the weight, hassle, or regular maintenance; truly an upgrade on the classics.
Now for these modern upgrades. First, select what power setting you'd like to run the amp on. This not only dictates volume but also the fundamental tone: lower settings allow you to get that huge cranked tone at volume levels that won't disturb your neighbours, while higher settings give you enough volume to headline arenas with an increased dynamic response. Now for the technical bit - Boss enhanced their power amp circuitry with carefully selected components throughout, so you now get four analogue Class AB power amp circuits, selectable for each channel: 6V6, 6L6, EL84, and EL34. There's even an 'Extra Headroom' switch on the clean channel to lift your tone, give you extra punch, and deliver sparkling clarity.
The Nextone Special's rear panel has been specially designed to make connectivity easy, with as many options as possible. There’s an effects loop, plus XLR and 1/4-inch line outputs for sending a direct feed to a PA with ease. A phones/recording output is available for silent practice and recording sessions, along with USB for direct recording. The USB also allows for communication with the Nextone Editor software which expands an already extensive tonal arsenal. External speaker jacks are included as well, letting you connect up to two cabs for even thicker tones. Add external MIDI control to this and the ease of use of the Nexton Special becomes clear.
Any electrical items in your order may have a United Kingdom or EU plug connection. A suitable plug conversion adapter will be included with these items if required, free of charge.
