Key Features
This is not a reissue. This is not just a revamp. The Ampeg Heritage 50th Anniversary SVT Amp Head is unlike anything you?ve ever experienced before. It brings the most popular circuits into a single head, resulting in a ground-breaking amp. The features of the hugely celebrated 1969 ?Blue Line? SVT are achieved through channel one, whilst the mid ?70s Magnavox-era preamp is offered through channel two. The combination of the two means you have a formidable sound with tonnes of volume, along with the versatility to flick between the growly, grinding tone of channel one and the warmer, clearer tone of channel two. The Super Valve 6550 tubes ensure this aggressive tone is delivered with the ultimate power.
Bringing the 1969 SVT into the modern day, this amp comes equipped with features that make it ideal for more contemporary bass players. The enhanced XLR DI output, easy user-biasing, an exceptionally quiet fan, and the Neutrik speakOn? jack are all features which make the notable ?Blue Line? SVT suitable for today's bassists, giving you the freedom to balance out instrument signals and maximise the quality of the tubes. This is all possible whilst retaining the vintage aesthetic of the amp; the Blue Line text and graphics are reminiscent of the 1969 era, making it the perfect combination of old and new.

Ampeg were pioneers in the world of amplifiers and bass when they brought out their 300-watt 1969 SVT to accommodate increasingly demanding gigs. This 50th Anniversary amp features Super Valve Technology, which has made Ampeg one of the most sought-after names in bass amplification. With six Super Valve 6550 tubes in the power amp, along with five premium JJ preamp tubes and three premium JJ driver tubes, you can be sure your sound will be heard clearly and with brilliant dynamics, even in the largest of venues.
Not only does this amp boast the valuable benefits of the Super Valve Technology, it allows for different tones and voices. In addition to the “Blue Line”, the Magnavox-era design has also been recreated for the second channel, giving you two circuits to play with. Maximising versatility, the two can be combined to create a completely new sound: one which mixes a raw, rumbling bass with a smoother, clearer sound. So, you essentially have three amps in one.
Make the sound your own. The volume and EQ controls, and the midrange controls for channel one, allow you to amplify frequencies to create unique amplification. Don’t get lost in your band’s sets - make your mark and let your playing pierce through and turn heads.
The enhanced XLR DI output allows you to minimise any unwanted noise that might be picked up, giving you a wonderful quality of sound to be projected to all corners of the room. To project your sound even further and have the walls and floor of the venue rumbling with your playing, the speakOn™ output gives you the opportunity to connect to any modern loudspeaker. This means you can make full use of the vintage qualities of the SVT and Magnavox-era circuits whilst making sure they live up to their full potential, fuelled by immense volume and power. You can also be sure that this amp will last you for years to come and will serve you exceptionally well gig after gig thanks to the simple user-biasing. This ensures the tubes are always at their optimum state and delivering that much-wanted incredible sound. A classic amp for the modern day.
