This durable guitar case is custom made by industry pioneers, Hiscox Ltd who have established a Worldwide reputation for a range of superior quality, light-weight composite moulded instrument cases that offer robust and affordable protection. Especially designed to accommodate the Brian May Special, as well as any other Red Special proportioned instruments, including the original Burns Brian May Signature Guitar, this durable case has it all. The Brian May Hiscox Fitted Liteflight Case's structure consists of a moulded, high impact resistant Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) plastic outer shell, bonded directly to a form-fitted inner moulding. The super-tough 1.5mm ABS shell provides you with strength, toughness and rigidity over a wide temperature range, and ensures you guitar will be protected no matter what the situation is.
As well as the exterior structure, the interior is manufactured from a mixture of polyurethane insulating foam developed by Hiscox, which is feather light and provides a high level of shock-resistance. The unique bonding of the inner moulding to the outer shell provides matchless structural integrity, enormous crush strength resistance (up to 500kg) and excellent thermal insulation.
In addition to a robust outershell, the Hiscox Fitted Liteflight Case is complete a deep-pile, grey velvet plush fabric bonded directly onto the shaped foam moulding, giving a neatly tailored luxurious feel and a snug fit that will ensure your guitar stays firmly in place during transit. Players can also benefit from an internal pocket for storing small accessories such as leads, plectrums and polishing cloths.
The Brian May Hiscox Fitted Liteflight Case is also equipped with an aluminium valance on the case edging, which is unique to Hiscox Cases. This added edging provides you with extra strength, along with a positive location of lid to base when the two halves are closed. In addition, this innovative system extends deep inside the case behind the plastic shell, and reduces the possibility of fittings working loose such as handles, catches and hinges.
