Fast paced, frighteningly quick and just oozing with playability, this is a neck and fretboard that has no limits. Using caramelised maple for both neck and board, its carved into a speed profile and has a satin finish for ultimate comfort. Its thin shaping and scarf joint reduces playing fatigue and just feels natural in your palm. It enables your hand to dart up and down the fretboard for those demanding solos.
The fretboard is where you can express yourself and show off your leading licks and rocking riffs, so Jackson have provided you a surface that aids expansive playing. Crafted in a compound 12”-16” radius format, it’s thinner at the nut for easy chording but flattens out towards the top frets to encourage audacious solos and soaring pitch bends. Hosting 24 jumbo frets and the iconic shark fin inlays, it looks good, and plays better.
Equipped with dual Jackson high-output humbuckers, the JS42 wields considerable tonal firepower. Made with ceramic magnets, these pickups are nothing short of volcanic.
