Casio's latest Privias have been designed under the "In Harmony with Life" concept - for people who value design alongside modern technology and instrument quality. The PX-S5000 combines this approach with the previous Privia pianos. Similarly to the PX-S1000 and PX-S3000, the sleek and sophisticated top panel mimics that of a grand piano. The casing is barely wider than the keys themselves, taking up little extra space, and the keyboard is portable or can be used with the compatible CS68 stand.
The PX-S5000 is equipped with a high quality keys - newly developed, the hybrid keyboard is composed of both resin and wood. The digital control technology in combination with the mechanism provides the most natural of actions. The keys have a graded weighting, which provides different levels of resistance along the keyboard for an accurate representation of an acoustic piano. This is also achieved through the touch sensitivity, which ensures that the strength of your keystrokes are perfectly characterised.
The PX-S5000 comes with a wide range of tones for you to play, including three grand piano sounds. The Multi-dimensional Morphing AiR Sound Source, exclusive to Casio, focuses on simulating the resonance and reverberation of an acoustic piano, ensuring a perfect listening experience. With the included acoustic simulator and digital effects, you can replicate the environment and instrument you want to hear. The PX-S5000 has an included Bluetooth adaptor which can connect to your phone with the Casio music space app. This allows you to access new possibilities with your Casio product, whatever your playing ability. It can be used as a learning aid with a vast library of songs which you can play along with. Each note and its duration is shown visually in a piano roll making it easy to find the right notes and see how a piece of music is written. If you're more confident with reading music then you can try out the score mode - use the inbuilt scores or import your own to play along with! Page turns can be done with a pedal so you can focus entirely on your reading and playing.
A live concert simulator will simulate the reverb of a real concert space with several different settings to make you feel like you're performing in a wide variety of concert venues.
