Key Features
A wide-ranging modular system. The Noise Engineering Basimilus Iteritas Alter Techno System provides a range of tools and connectivity options that provide endless signal processing potential. The Cre8audio NiftyCASE provides 84HP of room to fit the included modules plus room for further modules you want to add to the signal chain. To cater for a range of modules, the case provides a range of power and connectivity options, offering 2A of cumulative current via its +12v -12v and +5v power rails.
The Iteritas Alter is a 10HP drum module, allowing you to create unique drum patches, utilising kicks, snares, percussion, hats, and more. The Malekko Voltage Block 20HP 8-Channel 16-Stage CV Sequencer gives you access to eight independent, 16-stage CV sequencer channels.
Also included is the Malekko Varigate 8+ 8-Channel 16-Step Gate Sequencer (26HP). Providing the ultimate platform for song creation, the Varigate 8+ features 8 channels of gate outputs, with up to 16 steps per channel, as well as 2 independent CV outputs for custom scale quantization. Two sets of patch cables are included to allow you to utilise your new modular setup immediately.

The interface provides a number of controls that affect your sound. You'll be able to create everything from big punchy kicks, quick percussion, and even bell-like melodical sounds. Play around with the spread control, harmonic, and skin/liquid/metal switch to try out and find different sounds.
This lets you select between three modes, allowing you to create tonal sounds, a pitch envelope and more. Skin is great for tonal sounds as it is a six-operator additive synth. Liquid has a pitch envelope which is great for adding extra punch to a kick. Want those FM sounds? Metal mode turns the module into a six-operator FM synth that's ideal for creating noisy, bell type sounds.
These let you control the spacing and frequency of the six-operator oscillators. You can have one single pure harmonic, or you can start to separate them in pitch and get very dissonant tones. Harmonic then determines the decay of all these six operators so you can choose whether you want one oscillator to decay out or have the others ring out longer.
These controls are ideal for switching up your sound. Morph lets you continuously blend through the different waveforms. Fold controls the digital wavefolder, and will dynamically add multiple fold stages to maximise the amount of folding.
The Malekko Voltage Block is a versatile sequencer that allows you to adjust the sequence direction, as well as add smoothing and randomizes voltages per step. With regards to sequence direction, the direction can be changed quickly and easily with forward being the default. The other available directions are Reverse, Pendulum, and Random Sequence. Smoothing is also easy to add or remove by selecting the shift button, selecting smooth, and then a step button. Voltages can be randomized by also using the shift button, then selecting the channel you wish to randomize and pressing the RND button.
The Voltage Block gives you the ability to save and recall presets quickly and easily. The preset slots can be accessed using the STEP buttons, with the ability to save up to 100 when using the Voltage Block slaved to the Varigate 8+. Dedicated Save and Recall buttons make it easy to access your presets at anytime.
The Malekko Varigate 8+ features two quantized CV outputs, labelled CV 1 and CV 2. Connect these to modules that are equipped with 1V/Oct inputs for pitch changes. You can also change the note of each step by pressing either CV 1 or CV 2. The NOTE button will automatically light up, enabling you to adjust the sliders for each step you wish to adjust. On top of this, the Varigate 8+ allows you to add glide to a step. To do this, simply select the gate you wish to adjust, press one of the CV buttons, and then press the GLIDE button before adjusting one of the step sliders.
The Varigate 8+ features a handy and unique SONG mode. This allows you to program presets to play automatically. Simply hold the SONG button while you select various GATE/PRESET buttons (dependent on the order you desire them to play in). You can set any of the presets to play more than once in a row by pushing the desired preset button more than once. The SONG button doesn't have to be lit to program the presets, and they can be programmed while the Varigate is playing.
The NiftyCASE gets its name from its nifty little features that make it stand out from the rest. The medium-sized case bridges the gap between portability and space, providing you with 84HP of rack space for your modules. It's the perfect place to start building your own Eurorack system. The case features 2A of cumulative current from the +12v -12v and +5v power rails, providing maximum compatibility with a wide range of modules.
The rear of the case features a wide range of connections including two CV/gate outputs as well as mod and clock outputs for connecting and sending data to external modules. Also included is built-in MIDI and USB connections. This allows you to translate DIN-MIDI or USB-MIDI date into Eurorack compatible CV, gate mod and clock signals.
The aim of the NiftyCASE was to find the perfect sized Eurorack case that remained portable. The exterior of the case features sleek wooden side panels with a white finish on the main metal casing. This provides optimal durability, keeping your modules protected whilst in use. The rear of the case features the UBS and MIDI I/O as well as a power button and an audio output.
Any electrical items in your order may have a United Kingdom or EU plug connection. A suitable plug conversion adapter will be included with these items if required, free of charge.
