We will only issue a new product or refund if the supplier confirms that your product has not been activated. At the same time, we will ask them to invalidate it so that it cannot be used in the future.

Rob Papen Blade-2 is one of the most comprehensive virtual synthesizers available on the market, based on the ability to generate highly unique sounds compared to conventional subtractive/additive virtual synths. Building on the success of the original Blade virtual synthesizer, Blade-2 has a whole host of exciting new features such as the ability to morph and mix between four additive waveforms via the onboard XY pad. The original Blade virtual synthesizer from Rob Papen broke new ground in the digital synthesis world, providing a new and unique way to create sounds via the Harmolator oscillator system. Building on the original design, Blade-2 takes everything one step further with a variety of new and tools and expanded parameters including the introduction of the Additive mode complete with an XY Pad.
The Harmolator is a unique oscillator system that utilises 9 global controls which dictate the harmonic content of the waveform. This unique way of generating sound allows for advanced spreading and fattening so you can create massive, powerful tones. Blade-2 expands on the original Harmolator design with the addition of the Additive section – giving you the ability to blend and morph between four additive waveforms the main XY pad. You can even create your own waveform to use with the XY pad.
As well as the unique Harmolator, Blade-2 introduces an additional analog-style oscillator as well as a noise oscillator. This expands your sound design capabilities by adding another stage of voicing, providing new and exciting ways to interact with your waveforms and tones.
Another new addition to the Blade virtual synthesizer is the wave-analyze section. From here, you can analyse sample data of a waveform and use it within the Harmolator/Additive sections. This allows you to import your own sound to use as a starting point, transforming the waveform using the specialised oscillator system to create truly unique results.

This unique mode allows you to alter all major controls from one single place. Add some texture to your sounds using the wide range of studio-grade effects on offer. Add some depth to a pad by using reverb or create a massive soundscape using Ensemble or the Widener. 30 effects are available in total including a range of unique settings including Lo-Fi, Tape Flanger, Auto-Wah, Cabinet, Amp Sim, WaveShape and many more. The combinations are endless and with three multi-FX processors to utilise, you can easily find and create the sound you want.
With over 36 filter types to choose from and a dedicated amplifier section, Blade-2 provides you with all the tools you need to shape and sculpt the sound you want. The filter types include a wide variation of styles including bandpass, low pass, high pass, notch, comb and everything in between. There are a range of unique filtering types as well as including the vowel filter, formant filters, ring modulation and more. You can also shape the oscillators using the dedicated amplifier section comprised of a classic-style ADSR envelope. The amplifier section also features a distortion section for creating aggressive sounds. The most unique feature of the distortion section is that each voice of Blade-2 has its own distortion, opening up a world of distorted fun.

You have a range of parameters to choose from including source, destinate, amount, lower/upper threshold and offset controls. Add some rhythm to your melodies using the onboard arpeggiator. The 16-step arpeggiator/sequencer allows you to paint in patterns and rhythms with velocity settings available for each step to add some variation. You can control a wide range of parameters including play modes, speed, octaves, step length, swing and more.
