About the artist
Bryan Lane is a singer and multi-instrumentalist currently pursuing an Artist Diploma in Early Music at the Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, under the guidance of Stephen Stubbs and Nancy Zylstra. Hailing from Southern California, he earned his Master's degree in Vocal Performance from UCSB, where he starred as Count Almaviva in "The Barber of Seville" and Nerone in "The Coronation of Poppea." Bryan participated in the 2013 Amherst Early Music Festival, showcasing his talent in "The Fairy Queen," directed by Maestro Gary Wedow and Drew Minter. He has taken on secondary and chorus roles with Opera Santa Barbara in "Le Nozze di Figaro," "La Traviata," "La Bohème," among others, and played Don Ramiro in "La Cenerentola." In musical theatre, he appeared as John the Baptist/Judas in "Godspell."
On the concert scene, Bryan has delivered solo performances in Handel’s "Israel in Egypt," "Messiah," and Monteverdi’s "Vespro della Beata Virgine." His talents have taken him across the United States, Central America, and Europe in various choral, operatic, and orchestral pieces. Recently, he performed at the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles with Capella Cordina, presenting a newly uncovered 11th-century Aquitanian mass as part of a Medieval exhibition. A passionate trumpet player, Bryan has been involved in numerous albums and enjoys live performances. He has contributed solo trumpet pieces to films like "Chicken Suit" and "The Sacrifice of Old San Juan" by the promising director A.K. Hottman, in addition to recording for various albums and demos for composer and arranger Trevor Welch.
