To ensure your new trumpet can keep up with day-to-day activities, Conn Selmer have purposefully chosen quality materials for the TR520. To make sure your tone is always warm and symphonic, the TR520 features a gold brass bell. Gold brass is popular among orchestral players thanks to its ability to achieve a much darker and sonorous sound compared to yellow brass. The higher concentration of copper in the metal even gives a darker finish to the trumpet, which some musicians prefer the aesthetics of.
Similar to professional trumpets, the valves in the TR520 are crafted from monel. Monel is a nickel and copper alloy that is used by the majority of premium instruments. This is because monel valves are very dense and are more resistant to corrosion, meaning they won't flake and are less likely to seize up.
To ensure you can start learning the basics of tuning, the TR520 student trumpet features a first slide saddle and third slide tuning ring. These smooth slides are perfect for making minor adjustments to help tune with those around you. All of these features come together to produce a trumpet that is worthy of any beginner player.
