Featuring high-grade components such as a maple neck, maple bridge and a custom under-bridge pickup, this cello offers a familiar feel, closely matching the action of its acoustic counterpart. When it is time to perform, there is no need to spend time mic'ing up the cello, simply plug straight in to your amplification using the line-out, and enjoy the full-bodied tone. Plus, if you're practicing or performing alongside a particular piece, you enjoy use of the aux-in, allowing you to send audio into the pre-amp and back out into your chosen amplification!

The electric cello by Gear4music gives the same great playing feel and sound as its acoustic counterpart, whilst offering a convenient solution for a sometimes cumbersome instrument. Crafted from Linden, an extremely lightweight wood, the electric cello is portable whilst also offering a sweet tonal quality. With removable arm rest and knee supports, the cello packs down easily into the included padded soft case, making it easy to transport between gigs and practices.
Small body, massive sound
With a custom designed under-bridge pickup and a 9V active preamp system, the cello excels when plugged in to a PA or amplifier. Featuring volume and tone controls as well as a line out, headphone out and an aux in, the instrument is extremely versatile, and ideal for home practice, teaching and gigging.
The unique bodyless design means that this electronic instrument is virtually noiseless when played acoustically, making it perfect for quiet practice with the included headphones. The streamlined instrument also benefits from being free of feedback when plugged into amplifiers, and has adjustable volume, bass and treble controls, allowing you to hone your sound for each occasion.
Easy and accurate tuning
The included steel core strings provide quick response, stable pitch and long life. The strings' coloured silk wrappings help with identification and provide friction against the ebony pegs. The strong, carbon fibre tailpiece aids students and performers in achieving accurate tuning quickly and easily.
Includes bow and case
This electric cello is supplied as full outfit, with a brazilwood bow, hard case and rosin so you have everything you need to get started straight away. The included bow is reliable and easy to use, crafted from brazilwood - a favourite for bow construction because of its density and durability. The synthetic horsehair on the bow is ideal for players of all skill levels, and is built to withstand extensive playing.
The included case is a perfect fit for the cello, providing protection when out and about and safe storage. Finished with a tough canvas covering, zip opening and straps - plus a pocket for keeping sheet music and other accessories safe - the case is ideal for transporting the instrument to lessons and performances.
