By removing any heavy electronics such as preamps and leaving the essentials like pickups, volume knob, and output jack enables the SingRay SVX5 to be lighter and more comfortable to play, especially for long stage sessions. The StingRay's classic neck shape will even feel familiar to existing violin players, ensuring easy skill transference.

The Poplar body produces a resonant and controlled tone so that every note is voiced accurately. Thanks to the StingRay's versatility and ease of use, the SVX5 is ideal for live musicians who want to focus on their performance. For a more traditional feel, this model has a regular shaped fingerboard. Constructed from specially selected Ebony, the fingerboard is shaped to match modern orchestral standards.

Tru-Tone pickup

The Tru-Tone pickup is known for defining the electric violin sound. Perfectly suited for live environments, the Tru-Tone pickups have a high output signal which is ideal for guitar amps. The frequency balance focuses on high-end clarity while tightening the midrange for a stable, more natural sound. Thanks to the Tru-Tone pickups being a passive system, them don't require any batteries making them ideal for live use. The pickup is placed discreetly under the bridge for a clear signal transfer that registers the violin's body resonance.
